Otto Junghans Jr chicken farm

Hulda (Hahmann) and Otto Junghans' eldest child, Otto Junghans Jr owned a chicken farm in Mequon.

Here is a photo of the chicken farm; that may be Otto in the background and possibly one of his children.

Here are some photos I took in August 2007 of the house and barns.

Otto Junghans family

I had labeled this photo back in August 2007 but somehow the labeling was corrupted so I have no idea which of Otto and Hulda Junghans' children or grandchildren are depicted.

If anyone knows, please let me know.

Hulda (Hahmann) and Otto Junghans gravesite

Here are some photos of Hulda (Hahmann) and Otto Junghans' grave markers at the Trinity Lutheran Church cemetery in Mequon, Wisconsin.

Hula was born July 4, 1865 and died August 17, 1922.

Otto was born September 2, 1862 in Germany and died June 16, 1931 in Mequon, Wisconsin.

Trinity Lutheran Church - Mequon, Wisconsin

Here are some photos of the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.     Many of Otto Junghans' family were buried in the cemetery behind the church in Mequon, Wisconsin.

These photos were taken in August 2007.

Here is an older photo of the church.

Otto Junghans obituary

Here is the obituary for Otto Junghans.

Otto was born September 2, 1861 in Germany and died June 16, 1931 in Mequon, Wisconsin.

While this obituary was limited in information, it did help me confirm I was on the right track when I was researching the family tree.    The two surviving brothers mentioned would have been my great grandfather, Paul Richard and their older brother Carl (who had changed the spelling of his last name to Yunghans).   Eldest brother Emil Yunghans had died two years earlier in 1929.

Otto Junghans

Returning back to the families of Otto Junghans, the brother of my great grandfather, Paul Richard Junghans.......

Here is a photo of Otto Junghans.

I'm not sure when this photo was taken, but based upon the previous photo I posted of Otto and two of his brothers, Carl and Paul Richard, my guess is that the photo was taken sometime in the late 1920's.

Louise (Daniels) Junghans

Here is a photograph of my grandmother, Louise (Daniels) married to Walter Junghans, the youngest son of Wilhelmina (Schmidt) and Paul Richard Junghans.

I believe this photo was taken sometime in the 1950's, possibly early 1960's.
