Walter Junghans - DeKalb, Illinois

Color photography eventually began to replace black and white after WW II.

Here is a photo of my grandfather, Walter Junghans in DeKalb, Illinois.   (I'm not sure of the horse's name).

This photo was taken June 1949.    As you can see, color photographs were a bit muted back then.

Mary Wright Junghans and Walter Junghans

This photo of my grandfather, Walter Junghans and his step-daughter must have been taken sometime in the mid-1940's after returning from the war.

My aunt, Mary Louise "Sue" Wright Junghans is on the left.
